The 24th International Specialized Exhibition “Equipment, Instruments and Tools for Metalworking Industry” was held on May 20-24 in Moscow Expocentre. 1400 companies from thirteen countries presented their equipment. Of them 772 were Russian. About 20 specialists, including General Director Dmitry Salov, went to visit the event from the plant. Everyone had his own goals of the trip, but taking into account the current acute need of the enterprise in equipment and cutting tools, the group had a specific goal - to search for equipment suppliers, to get acquainted with the current trends of machine-tool building, production automation systems. 

As a result of the exhibition, the machine builders managed to find interesting domestic solutions that can be useful at the enterprise. Industrial robots of Russian production were also presented at the site in a significant volume, compared to last year. All of them are based on polar kinematics. Indian equipment is beginning to fill the niche along with Chinese equipment, more and more Russian-made CNC machines are appearing. 

The conclusion is obvious - along with China, domestic manufacturers demonstrate forward movement, and their innovative solutions are in demand in the market and at OKB MIKRON.
