Mechanical Engineer Day 2018. Overview

On September 29, an outstanding annual corporate celebration of the Mechanical Engineer Day took place in K-2 building that had been already erected on the territory of the OKB Mikron Centre for Heavy Engineering. According to tradition, the company's employees were welcomed by Dmitry Salov, the company's CEO. He thanked his colleagues for their professionalism, responsible attitude and esprit de corps and wished the team inexhaustible strength and energy to achieve their goals.

Without any doubt, the most important part of the holiday was the awarding of the best employees who had achieved high results in their work. While the most exciting moment was a gala concert with not only the best, but also extraordinary artists of our city participating. The program started with the famous BOOM show duet. All guests got inspired and charged with positive mood by familiar folk melodies performed by bayan-players, along with virtuoso brilliant sounds of the accordion. The specialty performer, who demonstrated the miracles of equilibristics in the style of break dance on the balance board, was followed by the Costume Transformation illusion show, which was met with particular admiration and ovation from the audience. Of course! The instant change of 12 costumes was impressive! And the most pleasant part of the corporate event was a lottery. As always, it was long-awaited, unpredictable, intriguing. Firstly, three lucky ones were awarded, selected from more than 30 erudite employees who had succeeded to cope with a theme-based crossword published in the last newspaper. After that, all the guests competed for 40 splendid, quite valuable gifts, such as blenders, toasters, teapots, multicookers, a tablet, a phone and even more. Special congratulations to the winner of the main prize of this year —a TV set! Nobody left without a gift that day, everyone got mugs and baseball caps with the corporate logo. The holiday culminated, as expected, with a festive buffet offering a signature shish-kebab, marinaded fish and a 40 kg cake shaped as ever-present gears. We are sure that everyone will keep vivid memories of this day in their memory for a long time!
