A week before the Mechanical Engineers Day, on 17 September, a Doors Open Day was held on the territory of the OKB Mikron plant under construction. All interested employees and their families were welcomed to visit it and get acquainted with the new plant.
Organized as a tourist group, the participants arrived at the event in a rented bus. They were met by Dmitry Salov, OKB Mikron Chief Technology Officer, who held a tour around the plant territory and told about project stages, operating enterprise work, as well as the prospects for further development of the company.

An exhibition area was set near K-1 building where the holiday celebrations took place. The exhibition featured the OKB Mikron batch production range. A HEAVYCUT machine tool, currently being assembled, was also inspected. Mine cars aroused a huge interest among the guests, especially children who were delighted being allowed not only to inspect the cars from the outside, but to explore their inside too. Adults admired the scale of construction, children were happy to get treats and fly a kite.

In total, the Doors Open Day in OKB Mikron was attended by about 45 people. Guests shared their impressions with the event organizers and company staff, as well as members of their families with pleasure. Almost all participants expressed their desire to attend such events in the future.
