For the first time, OKB MIKRON used a non-standard method of tooth processing on sections of a tooth ring using a band saw. The idea that lies on the surface is unfairly not used in modern enterprises, although it reduces the time of roughing a tooth several times. Today, companies use band saw technology mainly for cutting workpieces.
In order to successfully process the parts, it was necessary to refine the band saw and design a scheme for installing a gear ring section on it. This would also ensure uniform movement of the sector by turning it to the desired angle for sawing strictly along the outline of the tooth.
The implementation of the developed scheme involved the use of a saw with a horizontal cut available at the enterprise, a technological hole in the floor with a depth of more than two meters, standard saw blades and a machine plate to install the rollers to the desired height.
