FRORIER Triple-Roller Machine, New Equipment Purchased by OKB MIKRON

Specific equipment of the German manufacturer was purchased for the preparation section of the OKB MIKRON plant being constructed in Krasnoyarsk. This reliable and powerful machine allows cold bending of steel sheets with a thickness of 150 mm and a width of 2,000 mm, as well as hot bending of sheets with a thickness of 300 mm and a width of 2,000 mm. One of the unique features of the machine is the transverse displacement of the upper roller, which allows bending the edge, thereby keeping straight sections to a minimum, which is particularly important when rolling thick sheets.

The largest structural parts are the main reduction gear, upper roll, left and right struts. The weight of each part ranges from 25 to 30 tonnes. The acquired equipment is planned to be installed in K-3 preparation building, the construction of which is to begin in 2019.

The FRORIER machine is a part of a hot bending complex, which will also have a heating furnace with dimensions of 3,500x2,000x7,000 mm and a modernized DEC-630 sheet bending machine.

Currently, FRORIER is preserved for storage at the new industrial site. Subsequently, it is planned to upgrade the equipment by CNC installation.
