Our company's specialists visited the Borodinsky coal mine, the largest open-pit brown coal mining enterprise in Russia. Currently, the mine is undergoing a repair campaign, with some large-scale mining equipment temporarily shut down. Several giant mining excavators, which have been in use for over 40 years, have been put on hold for an annual repair, requiring the reengineering of key equipment components such as rotor wheels, bucket bodies, gears, couplings, and shafts.
Our colleagues discussed a new joint project with SUEK specialists, assessed the scope of work, and conducted the necessary measurements and detailed analysis of the structures at the deposit. The second stage will be the actual reengineering of the equipment.
The first project within the framework of the cooperation between «OKB MIKRON» and SUEK was the mechanical processing of the section of the ES-10/70 walking excavator.
Today, we continue our joint work, solving non-standard tasks, including reengineering tasks, which have become especially relevant in the context of sanctions and import substitution, and allow us to extend the life of critical machines and mechanisms. In the coming months, our factory will also process a walking excavator section.
