Copper caisson of metallurgical furnace contains a cooling slab, cooling channels in the slab, technological holes closed with plugs, water inlet and outlet spigots. The holes in the places of plugs installation and plugs closing the technological holes, and also plugs and holes in the places of connection with the plate are tapered with taper of holes of plugs and sockets in the range from 1:10 to 1:20, thus the seating of plugs and sockets is done on hot on a hole or on cold on a plug and a socket. The hydraulic tightness of the welded joints of the caisson cooling channels is increased.
The invention relates to cooling elements of metallurgical furnaces of non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the design of cooling channels and ensuring the reliability of their sealing.
